Kelly Richmond
Executive Director
Kelly joined Thumb Industries, Inc. as the Executive Director in January 2024. Prior to working at T.I. she was the director of an assisted living facility in Cass City for almost 20 years. Kelly has a Master of Social Work degree from Eastern Michigan University. Kelly resides on a farm in Bay Port with her husband Mike. They have 3 children Mitchell, Sydney, and Braden, and a Labradoodle named, Maverick.
Agnes Talaski
Administrative Assistant
Agnes has been with Thumb Industries, Inc. for 7 years. Agnes has worked with Thumb Industries Micro Business consumers, in manufacturing, and is now our administrative assistant. Prior to Thumb Industries, Agnes has worked in banking and insurance. Agnes has 2 sons, Jeff, Jay, a daughter in law, Angie, a granddaughter, and grandson.
Dave Ellicott
Director of Industrial Operations
Dave has been with Thumb Industries, Inc. for 27 years. Dave oversees TII's manufacturing department and lawn services. Prior to joining our agency, Dave worked as a Summer Youth Coordinator, Eligibility Specialist and Case Manager at Michigan Works! Dave attended Delta College. He resides in Owendale with his wife Lesa and his family includes two daughters, Dr. Lindsey Ellicott-Gasta O.D and her husband R.J. Gasta, Sarah Hudson and her husband John, and 3 grandchildren.
Brian Schumacher
Assistant Director of Industrial Operations
Brian has worked for Thumb Industries, Inc. for 14 years. Brian supervises janitorial services and provides quality control for our manufacturing department. Prior to joining our agency, Brian worked for Tower Automotive. He also currently works at Valley Enterprises. Brian attended Saginaw Valley State University. He resides in Pt. Austin with his wife Sherry and sons Braden and Connor.
Diane Brown
Director of Retail Operations
Diane has been with Thumb Industries, Inc. for 24 years. Diane manages our resale operations. Prior to working for Thumb Industries, she was a manager at McDonald's Restaurant. Diane resides in Bad Axe with her husband Mark and has two daughters and two grandchildren.
Josette Kanaski
Assistant Director of Retail Operations
Josette has been employed with Thumb Industries, Inc. since 2006. She was promoted to Assistant Store Manager in 2018. Josette lives in Bad Axe and has two sons.
Danielle McKimmy
Director of Community Relations
Danielle has been employed at Thumb Industries, Inc. since 2015. Danielle evaluates individual's job skills and assists them with seeking and obtaining employment within the community. Prior to working for our agency, Danielle was a district sales manager & worked in multiple facets of advertising. She has Bachelor's Degree in Communication Arts & Sciences from Michigan State University. Danielle resides in Bad Axe with her two daughters, Rayleigh and Delaney.

Tara Dohning
Director of Finance
Tara started working at Thumb Industries in August of 2010. Tara has a bachelor's degree in accounting and began her role as Office Manager in 2018. Tara resides in Bad Axe with her husband Michael and 5 children. She enjoys reading and watching her kids play sports.
Jessica Brown
Community Services Coordinator
Jessica has been employed at Thumb Industries, Inc. since 2009. She was promoted to the Community Services Coordinator in 2020. Jessica works with clients involved in skill building and supported employment services and monitors their progress towards their employment goals.
